The Maroon 5 frontman is the latest Hollywood celebrity to receive a star treatment on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
He was accompanied by his wife Behati Prinsloo and their 4 month old daughter Dusty Rose. The ceremony was on Friday. The 37 year old singer told PEOPLE that he is honored and he explained: “I don’t know if it has always been a dream of mine because it always seemed like not something that was ever going to happen. It’s really surreal.”
“Having my family and my wife and daughter here – I wouldn’t have had it any other way.” – stated Levine,
His daughter was resting in Behari’s arms, dressed in cute black cardigan and a little hat.
During the ceremony Levine said: “I have a daughter, I have the most beautiful wife in the entire world. I’m one of the luckiest people who ever lived and it has nothing to do with me, it has to do with the people who love me the most. And so I thank all of these people.”
The singer also noted: “This is crazy – I’m not gonna downplay and pretend that it’s not the coolest thing ever that this is happening.”
Blake Shelton and his girlfriend Gwen Stefani also attended the ceremony.
After joking that he hoped that the ceremony is a roast, Shelton stated that his relationship with Levine has been “one of the most important” he has made in life. The Voice coach also reflected on their friendship since they first met on The Voice. He said: “If you would have told me then that this guy was going to end up being one of my best friends, I would’ve called you crazy.”
Levine also talked about how much he enjoys being a dad. He says he has fun every day, and as time goes he enjoys every day even more. He also added: “She [his daughter] just gets bigger and cuter every day.”
