Charlotte And George Will Reportedly Serve As Bridal Attendants In Another Wedding

For the fifth time, Charlotte and George will have the roles of pageboy and bridesmaid at yet another wedding. This time it will be the wedding of a close friend of Prince William, Thomas van Straubenzee to Lucy Lanigan-O’Keeffe, a teacher at Thomas’s Battersea school, the same school where Prince George goes and where Princess Charlotte is expected to begin going later this year.

In the past, they had those roles at their uncle Harry’s wedding, as well as at Princess Eugenie’s wedding, and their mom Kate’s friends Sophie Carter and Robert Snuggs. So you can say that they know they stuff ahead of the wedding.

According to a reporter from the Sunday Times, the couple got engaged just recently, and although how the two actually got together is unknown,  “nobody would be surprised if Prince William or his wife, Kate, were involved.”

There are no details on the wedding, such as where and when the ceremony will take place, but what we do know is that Prince William will serve as an usher.

The van Straubenzee family have a close relationship with the royal family. Thomas went to Ludgrove School, the boarding school in Berkshire, with Prince William and Harry, as did his younger brother Charlie and their late brother Henry, who tragically died in a car crash in 2002.

This won’t be the first marriage for van Straubenzee, as he got married to Lady Melissa Percy in June of 2013, but the relationship ended in divorce only three years later. Prince William and Prince Harry both attended the wedding as ushers, so this will be the second time for William.

Thomas is also godfather to William’s second child, Princess Charlotte, and it is highly speculated that his younger brother Charlie will be godfather to Archie, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s firstborn.
