Golden Globe Awards 2017: “La La Land” broke the record for most golden globes

 

Many Hollywood stars gathered at the “Beverly Hilton” hotel in Beverly Hills, California, to attend the event of awarding the prestigious “Golden Globe”. The famous event was led by Jimmy Fallon.

“La La Land “became the biggest winner of the evening, winning awards in all seven categories in which it was nominated. The successful musical broke a record for a film that has won the most Golden Globes, bringing it to Ryan Gosling Award for Best Actor in a Musical / Comedy, Emma Stone for Best Actress in a Musical / Comedy, and Damien Chazelle for Best Director. The film was named for Best Musical / Comedy and the song “City of Stars” for Best Original Song.

Casey Affleck won the award for best actor in a drama for his role in the movie “Manchester by the Sea”, while for best actress in a drama was declared Isabelle Huppert for her role in the film “Elle”.

As the best drama film was chosen “Moonlight”, “Zootopia” became a best-animated film, while the award for best film from non-English speaking countries was awarded to the French film “Elle”.

Golden Globe Award for best actor in a supporting role went to Aaron Taylor-Johnson for “Nocturnal Animals“, while best actress became Viola Davis for “Fences”.

The prestigious award Cecil B. DeMille went into the arms of Meryl Streep, who has won eight Golden Globes and was nominated 30 times.
