There are so many who can’t wait for what Young Sheldon has to offer (there is a voice-over narration, from Jim Parsons). Yet, the bigger pull is still The Big Bang Theory. And, that’s just how it should be.

The American sitcom ranks as TV’s most watched comedy between the advertiser-coveted adults 18-49 demographic. In March, the TV show it was renewed for its 11th and 12th seasons. 

What’s the secret to The Big Bang Theory’s that keeps fans coming back?

According to Jim Parsons, the key to The Big Bang Theory popularity is the fact that the writing is the “perfect balance between thoughtful and funny.”

Talking about this mystery, Parsons also cited the consistent nature of the show.

“We’re not solving a new mystery every week, so you’re not gonna get a fresh story in that way,” Parsons told Parade about TBBT’s success.

“If you don’t want to watch these particular characters relate to each other, you’re not gonna want to come back.”

The Big Bang Theory has so many complexes, intelligent and funny characters. Starting from Sheldon, who will never allow anyone sit in his spot, way over to Penny (Kaley Cuoco), who wanted to become an actress and grew into a smart, pharmaceutical rep, who can somehow spar with all of the nerds across the hall, there is certainly a character for everyone to love.
