Meghan Revealed The One Thing She Doesn’t Miss About Life Before Marrying Harry

Before becoming a member of the royal family, Meghan Markle was a prominent figure on social media.

She ran her own lifestyle blog The Tig, she used her own Instagram, Twitter, and Facebook regularly. But, when she and Harry decided to take their relationship to the next level she had to close them down.

However, it seems that she doesn’t miss the social media much.

On the fourth day of the couple’s Royal tour, they had a visit to Bondi Beach on the day. Meghan and Harry visited the beach to meet community surfing group OneWave, which raises awareness and support people with mental health issues.

There Meghan spoke to resident Jessica Oakes about the impact social media has on people’s self-image.

“She said a really beautiful quote. She said ‘flattery and criticism run through the same filter,'” Jessina revealed.

“She said it was very freeing that she no longer has social media. And just how great One Wave is making those connections with people and being able to support one another.”

When Meghan was using the social media, she often posted about her work with UN Women’s campaign, adopting dogs as she had done and her personal passions, such as food and travel were also reflected in her feed and blog posts.

Even though she had to say goodbye to her personal accounts, Meghan hasn’t entirely stepped away from Millennial life.

Yesterday, as Harry and Meghan were preparing to leave Melbourne, she was spotted clutching her mobile phone as well as her bag.

Eagle-eyed fans noticed Meghan’s phone in a photo shared by the Governor on Twitter, taken as they prepared to board their plane.

The members of the Royal family are allowed to have mobile phones. Still, it is a rare sight seeing them with one during royal engagements.
