Ryan Murphy dropped some hints for the upcoming episodes of American Horror Story.
In Pasadena, California at the Television Critics Association’s winter press tour the news for seasons 8 and 9 of the Emmy-winning show were announced.
During the time of the event, the co-creator of the show talked to Us Weekly and gave some hints to the fans to figure out what to expect from the upcoming season.
Murphy told Us Weekly that Evan Peters and Sarah Paulson will return for season 7. Sarah and Evan previously appeared on multiple occasions in the previous seasons. The TV producer is not so sure if the show will deliver the same mystery as the 6th season’s finale in November.
Murphy stated that he and the team still haven’t decided how to do that. And that only three people know what is the new theme. So far John Landgarf, Dana Walden and Sarah Paulson know the new theme. Murphy is pretty satisfied with last year’s success, but he is not sure if he will able to repeat it again. They just started writing it and aside from Evan and Sarah; the cast is yet to be completed.
“It’s a modern-day story. That’s all I’m going to say” – was Murphy’s response when he was asked for any hints on what the new season is about.
The President and General Manager of FX Network John Landgraf stated that he is glad that the show continues to captivate audiences. Pointing out that American Horror Story started the modern limited series revolution and it is important today as well as six years ago.
