New Photos Show Harry, Meghan And Archie Have Returned From Nice Holiday
According to reports, Harry and Meghan enjoyed a weekend getaway with their new bundle of joy, this time to Elton John’s residence in Nice, South of France.
New photos show the family boarding their private jet on Saturday at about 3pm local time, having arrived in France three days earlier.
The Duchess of Sussex was photographed cradling baby Archie as she climbed aboard the Cessna 680 Citation Sovereign jet. She is dressed in a white shirt and beige capri pants. Harry can be seen wearing a whiite polo shirt, navy trousers and a cap.
Their arrival in the French Riviera came just two days after they arrived back from Ibiza, where they celebrated Meghan’s 38th birthday.
The Duchess is apparently a big fan of the island. She has visited it back in 2016 with friends including fashion designer Misha Nonoo.
Following the photos of the Sussex family emerging from a private jet, they have faced criticism for their choice of transport.
But, on Monday, Elton John took to Twitter and Instagram to defend them revealing that he felt “deeply distressed” by the backlash.
“I am deeply distressed by today’s distorted and malicious account in the press surrounding the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s private stay at my home in Nice last week,” he wrote in series of tweets.
“Prince Harry’s Mother, Diana Princess Of Wales was one of my dearest friends. I feel a profound sense of obligation to protect Harry and his family from the unnecessary press intrusion that contributed to Diana’s untimely death.”
“After a hectic year continuing their hard work and dedication to charity, [my husband] David and I wanted the young family to have a private holiday inside the safety and tranquility of our home,” he continued.
“To maintain a high level of much-needed protection, we provided them with a private jet flight,” he went on. “To support Prince Harry’s commitment to the environment, we ensured their flight was carbon neutral, by making the appropriate contribution to Carbon Footprint™.”
