The New Favorite Name For Meghan And Harry’s First Child
We are in the final stretch, our wait will finally end as the Duke and Duchess of Sussex will very soon welcome their first child together, whose gender is still unknown.
If the baby turns out to be a girl, fans heavily favor the couple naming the child Diana-a touching nod to Harry’s mother, the late Princess Diana.
Another name that has a lot of bets put on it is Elizabeth-in honor of Harry’s grandmother the Queen.
Coral, a betting site, announced on Wednesday that they have slashed the odds after a flurry of bets that Prince Harry and Meghan will decide to honor the Queen if they end up welcoming a girl.
At the moment, Elizabeth is now 6-1, down from 16-1, while Diana is the second favorite at 8-1, alongside Victoria. Harry Aitkenhead of Coral said: “We’ve been bowled over by this gamble and out of absolutely nowhere Elizabeth is the new favorite to be the name of Harry and Meghan’s first child.”
He added: “Royal punters are betting in their droves and they’re clearly convinced that they know a baby Elizabeth is on the way.”
Paddy Power still has Diana, which Harry could choose as a way to honor his late mother, as the top rated name at 3-1, followed by Grace or Charles for a boy.
HELLO! magazine, in this week’s issue released the results of an exclusive poll they conducted that included thousands royal fans voting on the future baby’s name. The results show that naming the baby Diana is still in the lead with votes, with a score of 29% in the girls category.
In the boy’s category, their readers favor the baby being named James.
The royal baby fever is spreading all over the globe and is spreading fast. Around the time after their baby announcement in October, Prince Harry said that he would like to have a daughter.
However, Meghan has also previously said that they weren’t planning on finding out the gender of the baby. And since then, we have gotten no new information.
