The Queen And Meghan Are Having Another Engagement. This Time Someone Is Joining Them

After their first engagement together in Cheshire, Meghan and Queen Elizabeth are joining once again for another. But this time they won’t be alone. Prince Harry is joining them.

Meghan and Harry will accompany The Queen at a reception to present awards to the Queen’s Leaders 2018.

The Royal Family confirmed on its official Twitter account that the new Duke and Duchess of Sussex will accompany the Head of the Commonwealth at the The Queen’s Young Leaders Awards.

The Queen’s programme was launched in 2014. Now it’s in its fourth and final year. It is in honour of the Queen’s service to the Commonwealth – a global network consisting of 53 countries and 2.4 billion people.

The Queen’s Young Leadersprogramme supports young people from 18 to 29 years old, from across the Commonwealth, who are their own lives and lives around them, despite the many challenged they may have faced.

It is no wonder the Duke and Duchess of Sussex are among the guests at the reception. Not long ago, The Queen named Harry  a Commonwealth Youth Ambassador.  Meghan is joining her husband in his work as youth ambassador to the Commonwealth. Prince Harry has revealed this and said she is “hugely excited” to help young people’s voices be heard.

Last week, Meghan joined the Queen in Cheshire for her first joint engagement with the monarch, but without her new husband.

The pair arrived in Runcorn after an overnight journey on the Royal Train. They were driven across the Mersey Gateway Bridge before heading to the Catalyst Museum in West Bank, Widnes.

The pair laughed and happily chatted together throughout the visit. The Queen even helped Meghan with and guided her on the royal protocol when she became unsure.

The Duchess of Sussex also had some one-on-one time with the Queen at the first day of Royal Ascot. And their bond was obvious.
