The Special Person Kate And Charlotte Were Spotted Chatting With

On Saturday, Prince William and Kate enjoyed a fun day out with their two oldest children, Prince George and Princess Charlotte. They looked delighted as they cheered on the Aston Villa during their soccer match against Norwich City at Carrow Road in Norwich.

Football-mad Prince George melted hearts as he was clapping, waving and cheering every time Aston Villa (who also happens to be his dad’s favourite team) Villa scored a goal.

While George was strategizing the team’s next moves with his dad, mom Kate and Charlotte were noticed chatting to a lady sitting next to them. And that happened to be Charlotte’s godmother and Kate’s best friend- Sophie Carter.

Sophie has been a friend to Kate for many years and is often to be found quietly by her side at various parties and events. She also used to date Thomas van Straubenzee, Prince William’s close friend. They have joined William, Kate, George and Charlotte on a ski trip in 2016.

In September 2018, she tied the knot with Robert Snuggs and George and Charlotte were pageboy and bridesmaid. The couple recently welcomed a baby girl and even gave her the middle name of Charlotte in the young royal’s honour.

Saturday’s football match was the first time that William and Kate had taken their children to a game.

George, dressed in a burgundy T-shirt, is seen bouncing up and down and cheering, as his parents smile and laugh with him. His love of football has been no secret, and the little boy was even treated to a sports-themed party at Kensington Palace for his sixth birthday.

He sat next to his dad, who looked smart in a blue shirt and V-neck sweater.

Kate, meanwhile, looked lovely in all black and small gold hoop earrings. Charlotte sat on her mum’s knee throughout the match, and at times Kate could be seen explaining the game to her. She can be seen wearing a red sweater.

Some more clips from the match where you can see Papa Wills talking to George while Charlotte was sitting on her mum’s lap and chatting to her godmum. The second clip is a wider view of the previous one I posted where you could see Sophie and Kate having a chat. Princess Charlotte didn’t look that interested in the game *yet* but I’m sure that’ll change! ? – The man with the little boy sitting right below William and George is Robert Carter, Sophie’s brother. Robert’s Wife, Hannah, is also one of Kate’s long-time friends and last year became Prince Louis’. Their son is Prince’s George’s age (both born in 2013) and the Carters all live in Norfolk so I’m sure they’re great friends! I love seeing William and Kate out with their loyal group of friends! ♥️ ———————————————- #britishroyalfamily #princewilliam #dukeofcambridge #duchessofcambridge #katemiddleton #princegeorge #princesscharlotte #princelouis

And Aston Villa even took to Twitter to share their delight at seeing the avid young royal at the game.

“You know how to pick your #AVFC games, Your Royal Highness,” they captioned the post.

The family outing comes days after William and Kate attended a special event hosted by His Highness the Aga Khan, which showcased modern Pakistani culture ahead of their Oct. 14 tour of Pakistan.
