Apparently, Kate will be the first Queen of England that has a college degree, according to Express’s reports. She would be the most highly educated Queen ever in the history of the British monarchy. Kate Middleton got her History of Arts degree at St. Andrews in Edinburgh. That is the university where she and Prince William met. This news doesn’t really surprise us because Kate is used to breaking tradition as it is. She was the oldest bride in the royal family. Kate Middleton and Prince William married when she was 29 years old.

If Kate Middleton is crowned with the title of queen, then would be known as Queen Catherine. Kate Middleton is titled as the Duchess of Cambridge. Middleton also has different names depending on where she is in the country. She is Countess of Strathearn in Scotland and Lady Carrickfergus in Northern Ireland.

Even though Kate has broken some royal traditions, she has been sticking to a few. For example, you can never see her wearing bold-colored nail polish since she and William got married. There is a rule according to which the royalties can only wear light-color nail polish or skin tone ones.

And even though Prince William doesn’t, Kate is always wearing her wedding ring.

“Wearing a wedding ring used to be uncommon for men but now it is quite accepted practice. That said, it really is a matter of personal choice and members of the Royal Family often chose to wear it with a signet ring on the little finger of their left hand,” David Miller said.

Prince William decided not to wear a wedding ring even before he and Kate got married. They said: “It was something the couple discussed but Prince William isn’t one for jewelry – he doesn’t even wear signet ring – and decided he didn’t want to.

“It really is just down to personal preference.”
