It appears that the royals have a rule or a tradition for almost everything. Watching them throughout the years we learned that it is very important to follow those rules, like carrying your clutch in a certain way. Prince William and Kate Middleton are certainly trying to modernize the monarchy.
Still, they follow tradition when it’s about their parenting styles. If you noticed, in every photo of the Cambridges, Kate is always paired hand in hand with Princess Charlotte. And Prince William is hand in hand with son Prince George.
Jasmine Peters, parenting expert, talked about this topic. She believes the move is a conscious one. Apparently it shows them lining up their eldest for his future role as King of England.
“Fathers are typically responsible for the disciplinary actions, redirection, protection and provision of the family,” Peters said to Femail.
“It is not uncommon to see a father with his son to set the foundation of what his role and responsibilities will be in life with a family. It is often believed that it takes a man to raise a boy to be a man. If you look at the pictures it clearly reflects this common belief.”
Or maybe they simply want to create a strong mother-daughter and father-son bond. That was especially on display during the Cambridges trip to Canada in 2016.
“Yes, it could reflect that Kate and William are traditional, but it also reflects the importance of the bond created between father and son and mother and daughter that they both treasure and hold dearly as responsible and loving parents.”
Peters continued: “Children often equate their worth to the parent that looks like them.”
“The couple are clearly loving parents who understand the importance of a strong mother-daughter and father-son bond, according to Jasmine
“Although these pictures can look a bit traditional, William and Kate may also understand the importance of a son bonding with his father and a daughter bonding with her mother.”
