Jason Statham is best known as an action packed movie star. Incredible gun action, impossible driving skills and badass stunts and fighting scenes, he got all that covered. But aside the movie screen, there are some things not a lot of people know about Statham.

Here are 15 facts about Jason Statham that you probably don’t know.

1. Jason’s career kicked off on the streets while he was working as a street seller.

Jason worked with his father on the London streets selling goods, jokingly describing that product didn’t fall off the truck – it was pushed off and he caught it.

2. Statham was into modeling, before acting

Jason wasn’t pleased with his smile and started posing with a bit more angry expression on his face. And that serious/angry face was picked by Guy Ritchie for casting, because he looked tough.

3. The year of his birth is not certain

The day and month of his birth are known. He was born on 26^th July, but the year is different according to different sources. Some say he was born in 1967 and others say 1972.

4. The street selling skills brought him his first role

During his first audition, Guy Ritchie asked Statham to sell him a piece of fake jewelry for Lock, Stock & Two Smoking Barrels. Jason got so good selling skills that he walked away with some of Guy’s money.

5. Jason got kicked out of the Playboy Mansion.

Apparently Jason didn’t want to pose with the girls. While wearing only a bath robe, he tried to avoid appearing in photos with the girls. Hugh Hefner thought that Jason’s act kills the mood in the mansion and asked five security guards to take Jason out.
