How Diana And Meghan’s Family Affected Charles And Meghan’s Bond?
According to Robert Jobson, a Royal commentator, Diana, and Charles’ “troublesome” marriage have helped Charles’ be more accepting of Meghan.
Earlier, it has been reported that Prince Charles has a real soft spot for daughter-in-law Meghan. A royal source had revealed that Prince Harry’s father is developing a “lovely relationship with the Duchess.”
Prince Charles also stepped in to walk Meghan down the aisle at her royal wedding to Harry, which made the whole world swooned.
Robert Jobson has spent over a year alongside Prince Charles as part of a new book called Charles at Seventy: Thoughts, Hopes, and Dreams.
In an interview with Express.co.uk Jobson revealed: “The arrival of Meghan Markle, who has got her own issues and dysfunctional family, probably helped them realize that not everybody is perfect and you have to be accepting of other people’s issues and I think that that is what is probably helped.”
He added: “The Prince of Wales gets on very well with Meghan, so I think that probably makes Harry realize that actually because his mum and dad had a terrible and troublesome marriage and ended in divorce – and so did Meghan’s – it doesn’t mean that everybody is perfect.”
Meghan’s first official appearance after the wedding was at a garden party honoring Prince Charles 70th birthday.
An insider revealed to Vanity Fair that Prince Charles is “closer to Harry than ever.”
They said: “The wedding was a real turning point.
“Charles showed so much love towards Harry and Meghan, and I think Harry will be eternally grateful to his papa for stepping in and giving Meghan’s hand in marriage.
“The bond between them is very close.”
Meghan’s family was making headlines in the run-up to the Royal Wedding. Her half-sister, Samantha Markle, has previously blasted her for not inviting the family to her Windsor wedding.
And her half-brother Thomas Markle Jr wrote an open letter to Prince Harry calling the nuptials the “biggest mistake in royal wedding history”.
Tyler Dooley, her nephew, said that his family was made a “national embarrassment” after Meghan and Harry didn’t invite them to attend the wedding.
While Thomas Markle, Meghan’s dad pulled out of the wedding just days before, her mom, Doria, was the only one there to share the happiness with her.
