To mark Childrenā€™s Mental Health Week, the Duchess visited Lavender Primary School in Enfield, north London.

The staff asked Kate to bring something that made her happy, and the Duchess chose a lovely photo of her family.

The picture is the snap the Cambridges used for their Christmas Cards this year.

It shows the family sitting on a log in the grounds of their home, Anmer Hall in Norfolk.

It was announced yesterday that the Duchess is launching a personal mission to highlight childrenā€™s mental health – as the numbers reveal suicide rates have tripled to hit a 35-year high.

ā€œAs a mother of three, the Duchess is determined to raise the profile of childrenā€™s mental health as one of her key roles in the Royal Family. She is passionate about children and their well-being, and this focus has already been shown to be a huge part of what she sees as her work.

“With the Royal Foundation and Heads Together, the royals have laid a path for this subject to be discussed more openly.

“The Duchess believes the mental health of children and young people is one of the big challenges of our time,ā€ a palace source said.

The school visits are in partnership with Place2Be, a charity that offers in-school support and counselling.

The Duchess is expected to “join a group of parents talking about the challenges of putting in place good routines and habits around sleep, screen-time, healthy eating and exercise”.

Last November Kate joined her husband William when he accused social media firms of not being proactive enough about dealing with fake news, privacy issues and cyber-bullying.

The Duke said social networks had allowed “misinformation and conspiracy to pollute the public sphere,ā€ in a speech to the BBC.

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, along with the Duke of Sussex, started the Heads Together campaign in 2016.

The campaign is a mental health initiative lead by The Royal Foundation of the royal fab 4. It aims to tackle stigma and help change the conversation around mental health.

Brothers William and Harry both told of their own battles as part of the campaign and last month. And Kateā€™s brother James Middleton opened up about his battle with depression. And earlier this month, Kate opened up about some of her life struggles ā€“ along with the hardships that come with being a parent.
