Adele blames it on Johnny Depp

Adele has revealed that she decided against bringing her pet pooch Louie on her Australian tour only to be put off by Johnny Depp’s canine issues two years ago that could have resulted in his two Yorkshire terriers being put down.

The 28-year-old singer has been on the road Down Under for the past few weeks and performed at the Adelaide Oval on Monday night.

The Hello star told the audience that while she had wanted to bring her beloved dachshund, to Australia with her, she decided against it after the now infamous case involving Johnny and his ex-wife Amber Heard.

The Pirates of the Caribbean star and his then wife were forced to publicly apologize via a bizarre video to make amends to the Australian government. This was a result after Amber failed to file the correct paperwork for bringing their dogs’ Pistol and Boo into Australia in 2015.

Amber pleaded guilty to one count of falsifying quarantine documents, while two charges of illegal importation of an animal were dropped. She escaped conviction and was ordered to pay a $1,000 fine.

With over 70,000 fans hanging on her every word, Adele drew laughter from the adoring crowd as she admitted that she opted against bringing Louie with her after the ‘Johnny Depp thing’.

The ex’s solemn apology for bringing their dogs, Boo and Pistol, into the country illegally is still fresh in the mind of the Australian public.
