Captain Jack Sparrow visits the sick children in Great Ormond Street Children’s Hospital
Johnny Depp dressed as Captain Jack Sparrow from the Pirates Of The Caribbean’s surprised the kids in the Hospital for Christmas.
Deppp finds this Hospital especially close to his heart. In 2007 in this Hospital Depp’s daughter Lily-Rose was treated for kidney failure.
To cheer up the patients in the Great Ormond Street Children’s Hospital, Depp brought up his well known character from the Pirates of The Caribbean franchise. Jack Sparrow walked among the kids in his full glory.
Gearing up with his recognizable tricorn hat, the red head band, long and messy wig, suitable clothing and accessories, completed with heavy leather boots.
Probably the younger patients in the Hospital had no idea who he was and might have preferred a visit from Santa itself. But the teenagers surely recognized the Hollywood star.
According to today’s unwritten rules, everyone took out their phones to capture this moment. It wasn’t long till the pictures hit the social media.
The Captain’s appearance took everyone by surprise. From creating confusion between the patients to pure joy and excitement, Depp’s visit wasn’t unnoticed.
And in case that the younger kids didn’t know who he is, sure their companions in the Hospital were pleasantly surprised. As the caption on one shot with Johnny holding a toddler says: “Yes folks that is indeed Johnny Depp with my lovely niece”
Being sick and in hospital sucks. But getting awesome visitors like Captain Jack sure can be cheerful.
In an interview for BBC Johnny Depp said that the darkest period of his life was when his daughter was ill. And since her treatment he increased the number of visits in the hospital. Bringing smiles and giggles to the kids and their parents.
