Both Christmas and Hanukkah will be celebrated in Natalie Portman’s home

Natalie Portman is going to have he best of Christmas and Hanukkah this year.

While Natalie was on Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon, she shared that this year she is extremely happy to have the chance to experience both holidays at once.

The Oscar-winning actress is Jewish and celebrates Hanukkah, but Benjamin Millepied, her husband celebrates Christmas. Normally they would celebrate Hanukkah at Natalie’s and Christmas at Benjamin’s parents place. But this year she is pleased that both Hanukkah and Christmas Eve are at the same time. This year Hanukkah starts on Christmas Eve, unlike previous years when the eight-night celebration started earlier in the month.

This year the couple is planning to have Benjamin’s parents over at Natalie’e parents’ house for the celebrations. So this year will be the first time for her parents to put up a Christmas tree.

The actress jokingly said that her secret Jewish wish will finally come true after spending her whole life without a Christmas tree. 35 years of waiting are finally over.

Of course Jimmy Fallon wouldn’t be himself if he doesn’t do something to commemorate the interesting occasion. So he gave Natalie the perfect gift. She got a Tonight Show ornament for her first Christmas tree.

Once again this year the couple will celebrate Christmas while preparing for their new family member. Natalie and Benjamin are expecting their second child. The actress should give birth sometime in the spring.
