Do’s and don’ts of dating a royal
Meghan Markle is already feeling the spotligh only a few days after she was first linked to Prince Henry of Wales (Prince Harry). We’ve learned a thing or two about the media coverage over the years, although we’ve never dated a royal. So we decided to make a small dos and don’ts list that Markle should keep in mind if she continues her relationship with Harry.
Don’t plan on a small wedding.
Prince Charles and Princess Diana’s wedding on 29th of July, 1981, was watched by over 750 million people. Prince William and Princess Kate’s wedding on 29th of April, 2011, in addition of 37 million people who watched the vows on TV in the UK alone, had 72 million Youtube streams. There could be even more interest when Harry decides to get married, since he’s on of the worlds most desirable bachelors.
Do expect that every side of your life will be inspected.
Everyone knows that lesson since Diana Spencer first met Prince Charles in late 1970s. Charles was dating Lady Sarah Spencer, Diana’s sister. The public became fascinated by her and followed her every move. So you can feel safe to say that every word that Markle has said since being linked with Harry has been documented.
Do keep your inner circle scandal free.
The royal family could not have asked for a better addition to the family than Kate. The only scandal we’ve ever heard about her is when she was seen sunbathing topless while on vacation somewhere she felt safe about her privacy. It was a hard lesson to learn and we haven’t seen snaps like that of her again.
Wheter you’re with a royal or not, dating is hard. So if it’s meant to be, it’s meant to be. Just take a look at Camilla Parker Bowles, Prince Charle’s second wife. Their complicated decades-old love story resulted in a wedding in 2005. Bowles said that she would never take the title of queen should Charles ever inherit the throne. It seems that being together is its own reward. Seems like a good lesson for Markle if she ever decides to marry Harry.
