Duchess Meghan Has Signed A Voiceover Deal With Disney
As soon as Prince Harry and Meghan announced they’re stepping back as seniot members of Britain’s royal family, the focus has turned to what they might do next in terms of career and funding.
In a move that may hint towards Meghan’s future path, it was revealed that she has signed a voiceover deal with Disney.
Meghan recorded a voiceover in return for a donation to Elephants Without Borders. The organisation is dedicated to conserving wildlife and natural resources, ensuring a prosperous and compatible future between people and wildlife.
It is believed that the Duchess recorded the voiceover before she, Harry and Archie left for their six-week break to Canada to celebrate Christmas.
Meghan’s deal with Disney could have emerged following the couple’s appearance at The Lion King premiere in July. It was held “in support of the conservation and communities work” that Prince Harry conducts through the Royal Foundation.
In May, Harry and Meghan were also given a rare honour by Disney; a rare watercolour Winnie-the-Pooh animation to celebrate the birth of their baby boy Archie.
Prince Harry and Meghan are yet to officially announce the partnership. Most likely they will do it through their Instagram account or their (newly created)Â official website.
The couple surprised royal watchers this week when they announced their future plans.
In their statement, they said they would “work to become financially independent,” and published a detailed document outlining the structure and funding of their household.
At the moment, they don’t earn an income from any of their work. According to their sussexroyal.com site “under the current structure and financing arrangements, they are prohibited from earning any income in any form.”
“There is precedent for this structure and applies to other current members of the royal family who support the monarch and also have full-time jobs external to their commitment to the monarchy,” their website notes.
