Harry And Meghan First Christmas Card With Archie Released

Fans of the royal family got an unofficial sneak peek at the Sussexes annual Christmas card this year, thanks to a member of the The Queen’s Commonwealth Trust account.

The beautiful black-and-white photo shows Prince Harry and Meghan laughing in the background with Archie’s cute little face in the foreground. The couple and their son are sitting in front of a Christmas tree, complete with flashing lights and baubles.

“Wishing you a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. From our family to yours,” Meghan and Harry’s card read.

The tweet reads: “Just sharing the sweetest Christmas Card from our President and Vice-President, The Duke and Duchess of Sussex. Very Merry Christmas, everyone!”

According to The Mirror: “Harry and Meghan sent a selection of hard copy cards to family but chose to send their cards electronically this year with the aim of being environmentally conscious as well as being in Canada where they are currently enjoying a six week break away from royal duties.”

The Christmas card comes days after it was confirmed Harry, Meghan and Archie are currently in Canada where they will spend the Christmas break. The official statement read: “The decision to base themselves in Canada reflects the importance of this Commonwealth country to them both.

Soon after it was confirmed,  Justin Trudeau, the Prime Minister of Canada, went on Twitter and welcomed the royal couple, and their 7-month-old son Archie.

“Prince Harry, Meghan, and Archie, we’re all wishing you a quiet and blessed stay in Canada,” he wrote Friday night. “You’re among friends, and always welcome here.”

The Sussexes are the latest members of the royal family to release their annual Christmas card. About a week ago, Prince William and Kate’s Christmas card was leaked too, on Twitter by Air Commodore Dawn McCafferty CBE, who works in the Air Cadets.  The photo shows the entire Cambridge family dressed in matching hues of pale blue and navy, posing outside.
