Jennifer Aniston Returns To TV Alongside Former ‘Friends’ Co-Star
At last, Jennifer Aniston is returning to her TV roots. It is confirmed, Aniston will star alongside her former co-star for a brand new project. The TV show will focus on morning TV shows and the New York media scene.
Jennifer will team up with Reese Witherspoon, according to The Hollywood Reporter. Reese played Rachel’s sister, Jill, on Friends. The actresses have remained friends over the years. And now, both of them will return to TV.
After her role of Rachel Green on Friends, this role will be Jennifer’s first major TV job. Jennifer showed up on Courteney Cox’s FX series Dirt for an episode, and on Cox’s other show, Cougar Town.
After finishing her role on Friends, Jennifer Aniston starred in movies such as Marley & Me, Just Go With It, Horrible Bosses, We’re The Millers, and more.
Reese Witherspoon made a name for herself playing in movies like Cruel Intentions, Walk The Line, and Legally Blonde.
The pair’s TV venture is based on an idea by Michael Ellenberg. The script is written by Jay Carson. Carson will also be an an executive producer, along with Jennifer Aniston and Reese Witherspoon.
The series still isn’t named. However, it will dive into the inner workings of morning shows such as Good Morning America and The Today Show in New York City.
Reportedly, it is expected to be shopped to cable networks like HBO and Showtime, and streaming services like Netflix, Hulu, and Amazon.
Fans must be thrilled that Aniston and Witherspoon are returning to television, and co-starring again.
It will definitely be interesting to see Jennifer’s return to TV after 10 years, since Friends ended.
