Michael Buble and wife Luisana Lopilato have put their careers on hold after their 3 year old son Noah got diagnosed with cancer. Daniela Lopilato, Luisiana’s elder sister, confirmed that Noah was not suffering from leukaemia, and that the cancer didn’t affect his central nervous system. She admitted that the whole family was “broken in half” by the diagnosis.
“It’s incredibly difficult — every biographical movie I watch about a singer, it’s the same story. Man comes from nothing, man fights for fame, man finds success, man leaves his family, man regrets leaving family. I won’t allow that to happen” – Buble told BBC Radio 4 last month.
Buble revealed on Friday in a Facebook post that his son Noah Is currently battling cancer. He did not give any details about the type of cancer.
“We are devastated about the recent cancer diagnosis of our oldest son Noah who is currently undergoing treatment in the US. We have always been very vocal about the importance of family and the love we have for our children.
Luisana and I have put our careers on hold in order to devote all our time and attention to helping Noah get well. At this difficult time, we ask only for your prayers and respect for our privacy. We have a long journey in front of us and hope that with the support of family, friends and fans around the world, we will win this battle, God willing.”
