Prince William and Kate Middleton have always been frank about their family life. The talk open about it and have confessed that it can be a struggle.
Will and Kate’s major goal is to give their children, Prince George and Princess Charlotte, more as possible a normal upbringing and raise them to be good people.
‘I know that I was lucky,’ Kate has shared before. ‘My parents and teachers provided me with a wonderful and secure childhood where I always knew I was loved, valued and listened to.’
Prince George and Princess Charlotte may be third and fourth in line to the throne. However, their parents are making sure that they get to just be kids for now.
Prince George reportedly loves anything with wheels. On the other hand, Princess Charlotte is a big fan of Disney princesses. Still, there is one toy that the mini royals are not allowed to use: iPads.
‘They’re very much seen as Mummy and Daddy’s toys, not for children,’ an insider reportedly revealed to Us Weekly. ‘As two people who grew up without gadgets for entertainment themselves, William and Kate are firm believers in toys, outdoor play, and encouraging an active imagination. They’re very much a normal family.’
‘My parents taught me about the importance of qualities like kindness, respect, and honesty, and I realise how central values like these have been to me throughout my life,’ explained Kate to the pupils of Mitchell Brook Primary School in February. ‘That is why William and I want to teach our little children, George and Charlotte just how important these things are as they grow up. In my view it is just as important as excelling at maths or sport.’
