Currently, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are one of the hottest celebrity couples. Their relationship, Prince Harry officially confirmed last November. In an unconventional move, the prince released a statement about his relationship from Kensington Palace, after a lot of speculations. The couple seems to be going steady. Furthermore, both of them met one another’s, family.
But rumors began to spread back when Prince Harry was going to propose to his gorgeous girlfriend Meghan Markle. There is one major obstacle standing in his way. There is an important member of Prince Harry’s family to whom Meghan has yet to be introduced. That is the Queen.
Traditionally the groom has to seek for the father’s permission, but the Royal prince has to get it from his grandmother, the Queen of England. Actually, the prince is faced with the problem called The Royal Marriages Act. He is bound by English law, which demands that he has to ask the permission of Queen Elizabeth II, before proposing to someone. The law dates back to 1772. It was passed by King George III after he disapproved of his brothers’ marriages.

Still, the fact is, a wedding can’t be close until the Queen has signed a notice to give her formal consent.
What a great news is that the Queen has never denied a marriage request. On the other hand, It took four years so The Queen can meet Kate Middleton so who knows how muck time it will take before she meets Meghan Markle.
