What’s dead should stay dead.
It’s better to leave the dead as they are, you cannot bring them back. The only thing you can do is move on and this doesn’t only apply to the deceased. Don’t force yourself on fixing things, it’ll only cause psychological damage.
Daddy issues are gender neutral, despite the stigma.
This is pretty self-explanatory, however, it has a deep meaning. Women are not the only ones that suffer from psychological damage from not having a proper father. What’s worse, men are often looked down when they try to cope with a bad childhood.
Don’t mistake loyalty for love.
They are different and should be taken as such, even when they often go together.
Blood doesn’t make your family.
It doesn’t matter if you’re relatives. It doesn’t matter if you’re brothers. What matters is the people that are always there for you, even in the hardest times. The family is those people that give you the reason to keep fighting.
Home is where you make it.
It doesn’t matter where you live. Home can be in a car, in a bed, or even in the middle of the street. It’s wherever you feel safe.
Keep your sense of humor, always.
Life is not easy, and it’s usually a mess with many problems. Laughter puts these problems aside for a while. Life shouldn’t be taken that seriously.
It’s okay to cry, too.
Life is hard. And many times, you just can’t handle it. It’s okay to cry it out, but remember to never give up.
There are different ways of being smart.
Intelligence doesn’t come from reading books or spending days over encyclopedias. The many skills you have are also important and are different forms of intelligence.
Bon Jovi is cool, on occasion.
It must be terrible to be wanted dead or alive, though.
Pie is a delicacy.
Pie is not to be underestimated. If there is pie, eat it. Have no limits.
Codependency can be both a strength and a weakness, depending who you lean on.
Codependency can go both ways, good or bad. It’s good to have someone you can trust and someone who will do everything in their power to keep you going. However, if that person is lost, you will start to feel depressed and sad. It’s always good to fight for yourself.
It’s okay to be different.
No one is stopping you to do the things you love. You can be a clown with pink underwear, as long as you’re doing what you love. And anyone that disagrees should shut up.
Self-Love is a journey.
Trying to cope with yourself after experiencing some traumas can be difficult, but never give up.
There’s no such thing as fate.
You’re the one in control of your life. If someone tries to change that, don’t let them.
Always question authority.
Always let someone that’s above you when they’re being annoying.
Never give up.
Keep fighting. When Death knocks on the door, don’t answer it.
