Meghan’s Friend Revealed The Treat They Were Given At Baby Shower

Finaly a break. The Duchess has spent the last five days in a long-overdue break in New York with some of her closest friends.

During her stay the Duchess did the things you would expect her to do in NY, like munching on macarons and sipping tea at Laduree, and dining at Ralph Lauren’s swanky restaurant, as well as getting treated to a lavish baby shower.

The party was held at the The Mark Hotel in Manhattan, an exclusive five star venue often called the ‘castle in the sky’, where certain rooms cost a measly £57,000 a night.

The main culprits for planning this event for Meghan are tennis star Serena Williams, and Meghan’s long time BFF and stylist, Jessica Mulroney.

The guest list was filed with A-list celebrities, like  Amal Clooney, Gayle King, Misha Nonoo, Taryn Toomey, Abigail Spencer, Serge Normant and Daniel Martin.

In preparations for the party, pink roses, orange trees and even a candy floss machine were all delivered to the hotel, and later on the expensive gifts arrived, which included a travel cot worth £290.

Little is known about the details of the party itself, as the only photograph we got from it is from one of the attendees who shared a photo of the treats that were given to the guests-and the theme is right on.

Meghan’s royal wedding make-up artist, Daniel Martin was the one who posted a photo to his Instagram account of three hand-decorated cookies from the baby shower.

The biscuits were all carefully shaped into different designs, showing a baby bib, a rattle and a stork carrying a baby. He captioned the post: “Such an incredible day celebrating #babylove.”

Despite all the other guest at the baby shower remaining silent about the event, Daniel has never been afraid of sharing photos from his time with the duchess.

The New York-based make-up guru recently shared a look at a brunch Meghan made for him during a visit to London, consisting of avocado on toast, tea and chocolate truffles from Fortnum & Mason.

He affectionately called the mum-to-be the “avocado toast whisperer” and said she was a “consummate hostess” in the caption.
