Duchess Kate And Princess Anne Rare Engagement Revealed

Rare outing occurs as the Duchess of Cambridge Kate and Princess Anne head out to maternal healthcare organisations.

This Wednesday the royal pair will visit the joint-headquarters of their respective organisations, Kate is the patron of the royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (RCOG), while Princess Royal Anne is the patron of the Royal College of Midwives (RCM).

The facilities were designed by the RCOG to improve collaboration across the sector. During their visit, the royal women will hear how both of these organisations work together to better maternal healthcare.

They will also learn about the innovative digital tools which are being developed and improved to identify and support women with high-risk pregnancies from representatives from Tommy’s National Centre for Maternity Improvement.

Also present will be key partners of the Avoiding Brain Injury in Childbirth collaboration with whom the royal pair will speak about the development of the nation approach to the monitoring and safety of fetal wellbeing during labor.

Kate and Anne are set to join a roundtable discussion with new mothers and sector experts, before rounding off a day filled with activities by meeting recipients of the RCM Awards, which celebrate outstanding achievement and commitment.

Days like this are nothing foreign to Princess Anne, who often tops the list for the hardest-working royals, regularly carrying out engagements for any of the 300 or so charities and organisations she’s involved with.

Last year Princess Anne headed the list by attending an awe-inspiring 540 official duties both at home and overseas. The Princess Royal even carried out the first royal engagement of this year by attending the Oxford Farming Conference, where she’s Honorary President, along with her husband via video call.
