We can’t believe that it’s already been two years since they announced their engagement! On November 2017, Prince Harry and Meghan stepped out at Kensington Palace’s Sunken Garden to announce their engagement.
And now, to mark the day, the couple has shared three photos on their official Sussex Royal Instagram account. Among them is also a new, never-before-seen photo of their wedding day on May 19, 2018. It shows the royal couple laughing and holding each other close.
Aside from the black and white photo, there is a second one taken on the day they announced their engagement.
The other photos show them on the day they announced their engagement and the day they introduced their son Archie to the world at the official photocall.
The caption reads: “On this day, two years ago: 27th of November 2017, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle announced the news of their engagement, later becoming Their Royal Highnesses The Duke and Duchess of Sussex!
“They have since celebrated their wedding anniversary and welcomed their son, Archie, into the world.”
Meghan and Harry’s engagement was announced by the Prince of Wales, Harry’s father, with a statement saying his son and Meghan would marry the following spring.
Hours after the announcement was made, the couple stepped out for a photocall. Harry donned a blue suit, while Meghan was beaming in a white Line The Label belted coat and a green shift dress by PAROSH, as they greeted the press and posed for photos.
Currently, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex have no royal events announced. Earlier this month, their spokesperson revealed they will not be spending Christmas with the royal family this year after spending the last two years with the Queen at Sandringham. The Queen approved this decision.
