Kate And Meghan Are All Smiles During Joint Appearance At Wimbledon
Today marks another joint appearance for the Duchess of Cambridge and The Duchess of Sussex. The royal ladies attended the women’s singles final at Wimbledon together.
Kate arrived at tournament on her own, and was introduced to junior players from Russia, Latvia and France.
She looked stunning in a green dress with gold buttons by Dolce & Gabbana. She has previously worn the dress back in 2016 during her royal tour of Canada.
Wimbledon’s official Twitter account celebrate the Duchess of Cambridge’s arrival and wrote, “A warm welcome to the Duchess of Cambridge on ladies’ day… #Wimbledon | @KensingtonRoyal”:
Both Kate and Meghan have strong connections to the event. Kate is the royal patron of the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club, which hosts Wimbledon. Meghan is supporting finalist and good friend Serena Williams.
It’s believed that Kate arrived ahead of Meghan, because she is attending a lunch for club members and former champions in her role as patron of the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club before the game.
More than an hour later Meghan was spotted arriving for the clash between Williams and Simona Halep.
For the event, Meghan wore a classic white shirt, which she paired with a pleated midi skirt.
As they took their seats in the Royal Box, Meghan and Kate were joined by Kate’s sister Pippa Middleton.
It’s the second time in a week that Meghan’s come along to see her friend Serena play.
Kate and Meghan have both attended Wimbledon separately this year. Kate watched a game on July 2, day two of the tournament.
Meghan appeared on the fourth day of the tournament. She was noticed sporting an “A” charm necklace in an apparent nod to her son, Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor.
“It’s always exciting when she comes out to watch and support the tennis,” Serena said of Meghan’s visit last week. “I was happy.”
On Sunday, Kate is set to attend the annual tournament with husband Prince William to see the Gentlemen’s Singles Final.
