Kate, who is known for her love of children, also gave us an adorable insight into the interests of her youngest, Prince Louis.
The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge had engagements with parents and children in Glasgow this Wednesday and it seems they’ve enjoyed them.
The royal couple visited the homes of tenants of the housing, care and property management organisation the Wheatley Group, one of whom was local parent Joanne Wales.
Joanne is a mother of four, including son Jason, who is the same age as Prince Louis! She showed the royals her son’s Spider-Man and Hulk toys, to which Kate sweetly replied: “Louis our little boy loves Spider-Man too.”
Joanne Wales has been a single parent since her partner’s unfortunate passing nearly two years ago. Later on, she stated that talking to the Cambridges has been an enjoyable experience and that she found them down to earth and friendly.
“They were absolutely lovely and straight away they were talking to Jason about superheroes” said Wales.
“It was not as weird as I had thought it would be because they just put you at ease, they are so nice and welcoming, they just wanted to make sure that I was doing okay and that I look after myself because sometimes mums tend to put themselves on the backpedal.”
The royal couple also met Lynette Wilson, a 36-year-old mother-of-three, who shared her experiences and how she has been helped by Wheatley Foundation’s EatWell emergency food parcel service.
Wilson’s daughter Olivia gave Prince William a picture she had drawn of him, Kate complimented the drawing saying it was “very good”.
Earlier, the Cambridges had paid a visit to St John’s Primary School in Port Glasgow, where they had learned about an innovative project where children interact with a mother and baby to learn about the baby’s development and aid their own emotional empathy.
During their tour of the school, the prince teased his wife saying: “Can you get my wife out of here before she gets broody?”
