Meghan Lets Slip Her Secret Nickname For Harry In Touching Documentary

The Duchess of Sussex revealed her nickname for husband Harry as she chatted to Tom Bradby on their ITV documentary Harry and Meghan: An African Journey.

While Meghan was talking about her marriage and life as a new mother she accidentally shared her secret name for Harry.

“In all honesty, I have said for a long time to H – that is what I call him – it’s not enough to just survive something, that’s not the point of life,” she shared.

Once she realised she’d revealed her pet name for him, she quickly covered her mouth with her hand and giggled.

She continued: “You have got to thrive. You have got to feel happy, and I think I really tried to adopt this British sensibility of a stiff upper lip.”

“But I think that what that does internally is probably really damaging,” she said.

However, she concluded on a positive note: “The good thing is I’ve got my baby and I’ve got my husband, and they’re the best.”

This is not the first time the Duchess has let slip the nickname she uses on her husband.

In August 2018, the couple attended the Hamilton charity. As they posed for a group photo with the cast of the musical, Meghan turned to her hubby and asked, “Can you see, my love?” A split second later, she realized she actually called him “my love” and looked a little flustered.

In the documentary, Meghan also heaped praise on her husband.“I would hope that people, the world, will get to the point where they just see us as a couple who’s in love because I don’t wake up every day and identify as being anything other than who I’ve always been,” she told ITV host Tom Bradby in the new documentary.

“It’s just, I’m Meghan and I’ve married this incredible man and this to me is just part of our love story.”
