Prince William And Kate Release New Photo For Prince George 9th Birthday
Friday will mark Prince George 9th birthday, as the third in line to the British throne continues to grow. To mark his big day, the evening before, Kensington Palace released a new photo of the handsome young prince.
The photo, taken by his mother Kate and shared on the family’s Instagram and Twitter accounts, shows Prince George smiling at the camera. It was taken on a beach during a family vacation earlier this month.
Dressed in a pale blue polo shirt, the birthday boy looks pretty relaxed as he enjoys the long summer break after a couple of public appearances lately.
They wrote: āGeorge is turning 9!ā
This isn’t the only glimpse royal watchers have been given of Prince George in recent weeks. Two weeks ago, he made his Wimbledon debut to see the men’s final alongside parents Prince William and Kate.
The family enjoyed the match between Serbia’s Novak Djokovic and Australia’s Nick Kyrgios.
Prince George was born at 4.24 pm on that hot summer day in 2013. Kate gave birth at the Lindo Wing, a private maternity ward at St Maryās Hospital, London.
Prince William and Kate have the sweet tradition every year to publish a photo for the birthday of the young prince. (and for his siblings too)
They show how he has transformed from a cute little boy to a majestic young man, which we can all be proud of. As well as releasing birthday photos, Kate has revealed that she also bakes all their birthday cakes herself: “I love making the cake. It’s become a bit of a tradition that I stay up ’til midnight with ridiculous amounts of cake mix and icing and I make far too much. But I love itā.
Two days later the couple announced Prince Georgeās full name as George Alexander Louis. He is currently third in the royal line of succession and will take on a huge amount of responsibility as the future monarch. And he is already delighting royal fans with his public appearances.
