Prince William Sweet Answer To A Boy Who Didn’t Know Who He Is
In a resurfaced clip, Prince William comes face-to-face with one young spectator – who has no idea who he is.
In the clip, which resurfaced on TikTik last week, Prince William can be seen offering a sweet response to one young boy in the crowd who had no idea who he was. The Prince of Wales was taking part in a royal walkabout in Windsor, around the time of the King’s Coronation, when the hilarious interaction occurred. The young boy, who was stood among many royal fans, was clearly excited to catch a glimpse of the royal – despite not actually knowing who he is.
The young boy was recorded asking: “How long until we are able to see Prince William?”
In a quick reply, Prince William winked at the boy’s parent, saying to the little boy: “We don’t know where he is! Have you seen him yet?
William then took the opportunity to ask the boy if he knew who he was, with the boy replying, “Uh… the government?”
With a laugh, William responsed: “I’m not the government. Do I look like the government, do I?”
In no time, the young boy then realised who the Prince of Wales was, before turning to his mum and saying: “That’s Prince William, mummy.”
The video, shared on TikTik, sparked a lot of praise for the way the 41-year-old handed the situation.
One fan wrote: “I love this! He’s such a lovely man. Taking interest in everything the lil lad said,” Newsweek reports.
A third user commented on William’s humour, writing: “He’s a natural. Charismatic guy.”
The clip resurfaced as a new poll shows William’s popularity in the US being even higher than his America-born sister-in-law Meghan Markle.
The Daily Star reported that the former actress is considerably less popular than both William and Prince Harry in the US.
