The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge Last Minute Trip Before School Starts Revealed

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are using all the time they have left of this summer to spend quality time with their three children.

With the summer coming to a close, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge enjoyed one last family trip with their children before they return to school.

According to royal sources, Prince William and Kate travelled to Balmoral in Scotland with their three children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis, in order to spend some time with the Queen.

The monarch has made it a tradition for her to spend the summer months in Scotland, with many royal members coming to visit throughout the summer. The Cambridge family are among the most frequent, as they have been seen visiting the Scottish estate for years, with Kate first being invited to Balmoral right before her engagement to William in 2010.

Scotland has a special place in both William and Kate’s hearts, as the couple first met at the University of St Andrews in Fife back in 2001.

At the opening ceremony of the General Assembly of the Church of Scotland in May, William said: “George, Charlotte and Louis already know how dear Scotland is to both of us, and they are starting to build their own happy memories here too.

“We have no doubt they will grow up sharing our love and connection to Scotland from the Highlands to the Central Belt, from the Islands to the Borders.”

This summer the Queen has gotten tons of guests, such as the Prince of Wales and the Duchess of Cornwall, the Duke of York and his ex-wife, Sarah, Duchess of York, and Princess Eugenie, Jack Brooksbank and their six-month-old son August. This was certainly beneficial for her, as she lost her husband, the Duke of Edinburgh, back in April and this is her first summer here without him.
