On Saturday night, royal fans received an unexpected delight when Prince William and Kate released two new photos of their family. Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis got to meet their favorite celebrity, Sir David Attenborough.
George, Charlotte and Louis look pretty excited by meeting Sir David, and he didn’t disappoint his young hosts too. He gave Prince George a fossilised giant shark’s tooth from an extinct Carcharocles megalodon.
One of the photos shows Prince William, Kate and Sir David surrounded by the children. And while George looks a little bit shy, Charlotte seems excited as can be, with her hands on her face while looking directly at the TV star.
The Cambridges received the legendary naturalist to their home, Kensington Palace, after school on September 24. Sir David Attenborough stopped by to show Prince William his forthcoming feature film, David Attenborough: A Life On Our Planet, in an outdoor screening.
A press release calls Attenborough’s movie, “his most personal project to date, in which he presents some of the most defining moments of his career as a naturalist and the devastating changes he has seen.” David Attenborough: A Life on Our Planet is showing in cinemas from 28 September. On Netflix, it will stream from October 4.
In a new clip to promote the royal’s programme , William said that becoming a dad gave him a “new sense of purpose.”
“Now I’ve got George, Charlotte and now Louis in my life, your outlook does change. You want to hand over to the next generation, the wildlife, in a much better condition,” he added.
Kate also revealed: “The children were very upset that we were coming to see you and they weren’t coming. They are massive fans,” she said.
