10 Interesting Facts About Prince George You Probably Didn’t Know

It seems like it was yesterday when we met Prince George- in fact, he is already six years old. Prince George Alexander Louis was born on the July 22nd, 2013. We got our first glimpse of him on the steps of the Lindo Wing when he was only a day old, and delighted fans with a mini royal “wave” from under his blanket.

Prince William famously said that his son George had a great pair of lungs and that “luckily” had his mothers looks.

Royal watchers have loved seeing Prince George “grow up” to become an adorable little boy- and a mischievous big brother to Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis. Every now and then, William and Kate share details about their children, so we have made a list of interesting facts about Prince George.

While hosting a reception for BBC Radio 1’s Teen Awards at Kensington Palace, Prince William spoke with young dancer named Junior and opened up about his son’s talent too.

”George is doing dancing as well, he loves it. And my mother always used to dance, she loved dancing.”

Like Father, Like Son

At her first engagement as Honorary Air Commandant, Kate revealed that Prince George has a passion for aeroplanes – much as his father, who worked for several years as an air ambulance pilot.

Speaking with cadet Lucinda Conder, Kate said: “He is now obsessed with the air cadets and wants to join.”

William and Kate are also keen tennis players, so it’s no surprise that Prince George has already started his tennis lessons as well. Both he and his sister have started their tennis lessons, with the Princess reportedly learning at the exclusive Hurlingham Club in London.

George, meanwhile, had his first experiences with tennis at the family’s home in Norfolk, Anmer Hall, where he stayed before moving to London.

 The young Prince even received a lesson from none other than Roger Federer, his favorite tennis player, at his grandparent’s house in Bucklebury, England.

Back in July, Federer opened up about the lesson during a press conference, and revealed the “cute” Prince’s game is “already good.”

While at the opening of a new Ronald McDonald house near Evelina London Children’s Hospital, mom Kate met James Wheeler, 4, who warned her about an upcoming thunderstorm. Kate said: “Yes, I know all about those. George likes storms, too!”

While visiting CineMagic, in Northern Island, Prince William revealed that Prince George’s favorite film “How to Train Your Dragon.”

Earlier, Kate has also revealed that George is also a fan of Paddington bear, like many youngsters his age! During a post-BAFTAs ceremony meet and greet, Kate is reported to have told Coco director Lee Unkrich: “They are just getting into films now, George is four-and-a-half. Paddington is definitely up there, and so is Coco now.” She added: “It’s great obviously because of William’s interest in film, it’s great to have that father-son thing.”

In 2017, William and Kate attended a Paddington 2 event, and it was then that William also said of his son: “He quite likes The Lion King. We’ve watched that a few times. We’ve watched Octonauts several times. He has watched some Lego movies as well, so he’s watched a lot of things like that.”

Prince Can Count To Ten…In Spanish

With the help of their Palencia-born nanny, Maria Teresa Turrion Borrallo, George and Charlotte are learning how to speak Spanish. The future King can already count up to ten!

Prince George is third in line to the British throne, after grandpa Prince Charles and dad Prince William. But, apparently, he is currently unaware of his royal status. Speaking to the BBC, Prince William explained: “I love my children in the same way any father does, and I hope George loves me the same any son does to his father. We are very normal in that sense.”

‘There’ll be a time and a place to bring George up and understand how he fits in, in the world. But right now it’s just a case of keeping a secure, stable environment around him and showing as much love as a I can as father.’

Kate has previously stated that her daughter Charlotte is a big fan of pasta, and George is no different. The young Prince is fond of Italian food, especially pizza and pasta.

The family is also into baking, with Kate saying that with George in the kitchen it often turns into “chaos”. She told a group of teenagers who were making chocolate crispy cakes: “So what are you making? This smells seriously good. When I try to do this with George at home, chocolate and the golden syrup goes everywhere. He makes so much mess. It’s chaos.”

Prince George Has A Favorite Football Team

With a dad that loves Aston Villa, it comes as no surprise that George and Charlotte are also Villa fans. Kate has previously revealed that her youngsters “love putting on Villa kits” and cheering on their dad’s favorite football team.

He was also photographed cheering on his favorite team back in October when he, William, Kate and Charlotte attended the Aston Villa match against Norwich City.
