Duchess Meghan surprised everyone on Monday night when she appeared at the British Fashion Awards to present her friend Clare Waight Keller with the Womenswear Designer of the Year award.
But there was another moment that happened while Meghan was on-stage that really warmed our hearts.
Meghan who is expecting her first child with husband Harry was seen cradling her baby bump. Eagle-eyed fans spotted one moment she appeared to be surprised by a kick from her baby.
You can actually see her close her eyes and have a moment as her baby kicks.
The video was published by Royal account, harry_meghan_updates.
The caption reads: “Baby Sussex is full of energy!! Look how he/she kicks mummy hard and Meghan closes her eyes.”
This video comes after the Duchess was criticized for continuously cradling her bump with both hands during Monday night’s outing.
One follower said: “I think that’s why she’s constantly cradling her bump because babies are very active.”
Another follower added: “Now I understand why she cradled the baby a bit tighter with her two hands!”
Katherine Graves told The Daily Mail that it’s a positive thing for mums to hold their baby bump.
“Meghan is practising responsive natural parenting and touching, speaking and cradling her bump will be very beneficial for the baby.”
“It’s a positive thing for both mum and baby to touch and reassure baby, which is vital for baby’s bonding and well being, staving off postnatal depression and facilitating healthy connection for all,” she told the publication.
Meghan’s pregnancy has been heavily followed since she and Harry announced the big news.
The Palace announced that the baby is due in the spring, probably around April. That means that baby Sussex and Prince Louis will only be a year apart in age.
