Duchess Kate Next Royal Outing Revealed

The Duchess of Cambridge is set to speak at an event hosted by the Forward Trust, held on Tuesday 19th October launching their Taking Action on Addiction campaign.

Kate is set to be joined by TV duo Ant and Dec during her keynote speech on one of her long-standing patronages. Kate became patron of the Forward Trust in June 2021, however, this was when the charity merged with Action on Addiction, which was one of her first patronages, all the way back in 2012.

At the event, Kate will be meeting beneficiaries of the charity as well as supporters who have lived through addiction, hearing their stories and experiences. The Duchess will also highlight the importance of battling the misinformation and misunderstandings surrounding addiction and the information of early childhood experiences. The meeting will be compered by TV presenters Ant and Dec.

Taking Action on Addiction is a long-term campaign, working on improving understanding of addiction, growing awareness of its causes and scale in modern society. Hopefully, this will enable more and more people to ask for help and actually receive it.

Running from 18 to 24 October, Addiction Awareness Week coincides with the launch of the event, aiming to provide a platform to highlight the challenges of addiction, engage with people and families affected, and raise public awareness.
