George, Charlotte And Louis Start First Day At Lambrook School
The summer holiday has officially ended. And like millions of children worldwide, Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis have returned to school.
On Wednesday afternoon Prince William and Kate stepped out to bring their three children to their new school, Lambrook, a preparatory school located in the Berkshire countryside near their new home base at Adelaide Cottage.
Dressed in school uniform, George and Louis walked hand in hand with mom Kate, while Charlotte with William to the entrance, laughing and chatting along the way. The photos of the introductory day show Kate looking elegant in a polka-dot dress while Prince William wears a navy suit.
Actually, the Cambridges were photographed arriving for a settling-in afternoon, an annual event in which new students and their families are welcomed to the campus the day before the start of a new school term. Their first day of school is today, September 8th.
The Cambridges were greeted by the school’s headmaster Jonathan Perry and the headmaster’s wife Jenny who welcomed them to Lambrook. William quipped, “With all the gang.”
Today marks Louis’ first day at school, having turned four in April, while George and Charlotte previously attended Thomas’ Battersea school a short distance from the family’s Kensington Palace apartment.
“Their Royal Highnesses are hugely grateful to Thomas’s Battersea where George and Charlotte have had a happy start to their education since 2017 and 2019 respectively and are pleased to have found a school for all three of their children that shares a similar ethos and values,” a statement released by Kensington Palace last month read, according to Vanity Fair.

Prince George will be entering the Prep school in year five, Charlotte in year three and Louis will be a pupil in the school’s Pre Prep.
