George Has Picked Up This Naughty Christmas Habit From Dad William
It seems that the young Prince has picked up a naughty Christmas habit from his father, Prince William.
It seems that the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree, as Prince George has picked up a bad Christmas habit from his father. Its a common behavior problem among kids, especially at Prince George’s age, but if they keep it up, they will end up with coal for Christmas from Santa.
Prince George, who turned five a few months ago, has already made a name for himself, being known as one of Prince Charles’ more “cheeky” grandchildren. He might have picked that up from his uncle Prince Harry, who has always been the troublemaker from the two brothers, with Prince William, his father, being the more straight-laced and proper.
However, Christmas looks like an exception. Just like any child, the pure anticipation and excitement for the gifts they will get sometimes get too strong, that they can’t help it. So George decided to find his Christmas presents and open them early, which is a thing that his father would use to do as well.
But it doesn’t stop there. According to reports, although George got it from his father William, William actually got that naughtiness from his own mother, Princess Diana. So you can say that being naughty runs in the family.
Way back in 1985, when Prince William was just 3.5 years-old, Diana wrote to a friend that he had picked up her naughty habit of opening Christmas presents early.
George, along with his siblings Charlotte and Louis, will certainly enjoy a Christmas filled with glorious toys and presents, probably in a private event with just their closest family. That doesn’t mean that the adults don’t have fun too. The adult royals, joined by the newest member of the royal family Meghan Markle, will enjoy a decades-old set of Christmas traditions of their own.
The family will gather at Sandringham Castle and will enter the Red Drawing Room, the traditional site of the Windsors’ Christmas parties. They will enter the room by rank, being weighed before and after the meal (it’s a joke to see if they’ve been fed enough). Then, they’ll exchange gag gifts, and the rule seems to be, “the cheaper and more ridiculous the better.” For example, as reported by the Inquisitr, Kate Middleton once gifted her then-single brother-in-law Prince Harry with a $5 “grow your own girlfriend kit” (a woman-shaped toy that absorbs water and increases in size).
