Everyone who met and loved Lady Di, say that she had really wicked sense of humour. And it was one of her best qualities.
Diana’s former butler, Paul Burrell, spoke with Mirror and explained that the Princess loved Christmas. She was always looking for inventive ways to make it even more fun for her sons to have a brilliant time.
Burrell revealed that she would spend hours searching for the perfect stocking fillers for them.
And one year, she found the most hilarious gift for Harry. Young Harry was very excited to receive the outrageous gift from his mother.
Mr Burrell told the Daily Mirror: “She’d spend hours looking for jokey things for their stockings. One year, Harry got fake dog poo.”
What’s even funnier is that Harry had a very cheeky plan for the gift. He was planning to trick the Queen with it.
William and Harry have tons of fond memories of their mother, and one such memory is from the Saturday night routine they shared.
Princess Diana’s former butler and close friend Paul Burrell told the Mirror Online about their “Saturday night ritual.”
The loving mom would take her boys to McDonald’s, where they would get Big Macs and chips. Then they would head home and sit on giant stuffed hippopotamus Diana had in front of the TV and watch Blind Date.
Prince William talked about his mom in the documentary Diana, Our Mother: Her Life and Legacy. He said: “She was very informal and really enjoyed the laughter and fun.
“She understood that there was a real life outside of Palace walls.”
“She was our mum. She still is our mum. And of course, as a son I would say this, she was the best mum in the world.
“She smothered us with love, that’s for sure.”
