How Kate And Meghan Celebrated The Queen’s 72 Wedding Anniversary

Kate Middleton and Meghan Markle lead the tributes for the commemoration.

Queen Elizabeth and Prince Phillip just celebrated an impressive wedding anniversary. The monarch and her husband have been married for 72 years.

The two tied the knot at Westminster Abbey on November 20th back in 1947, and since then have created a beautiful family and legacy. Tons of royal went online to congratulate the royal couple on reaching such a landmark.

The official Kensington Palace Instagram account led the tributes to the queen and her husband. Duchess Kate and Prince William wrote, “Wishing Her Majesty The Queen and His Royal Highness The Duke of Edinburgh a very happy 72nd Wedding Anniversary! “

Prince Harry and Meghan also congratulated the senior royals, sharing a photo of the two “love birds” on Instagram with the caption: “Happy anniversary to Her Majesty The Queen and The Duke of Edinburgh! On this day, seventy-two years ago, they were married at Westminster Abbey. Many congratulations!”

Other members of the royal family also congratulated them on their 72nd marriage anniversary from their own Instagram accounts, sharing photos and writing heartfelt captions.

When the Queen got married back in 1947, according to the royal’s official website, there were tons of congratulations as well, with the couple receiving over 2,500 gifts from all over the globe. After finally tying the knot, the two-headed off to Balmoral Estate in Scotland, where they spent their honeymoon.
