With roles like Bane in the Christopher Nolan Batman Trilogy, to the new Mad Max and Sony’s Venom, Tom Hardy is no stranger to big film franchises. And it seems that he is linked to another big franchise as the film director of the big screen adaptation of the Call of Duty game series admitted that he would love to have Tom Hardy in the movie adaptation.
Stefano Sollima, the director of forthcoming Sicario 2, admitted that Hardy and another Hollywood superstar Chris Pine are the frontrunners for roles in the highly anticipated video game adaptation.
“I mean, I like almost everything [Hardy has been in],” he told Metro.
“I’m waiting for his Venom. Even in Mad Max, he was great.”
Describing his admiration of Pine, he said: “He’s tough, but he’s smart and he can have a sense of humor. But he can [also] be in such a dramatic role.
“I like when you feel that an actor can play with different nuances and tone because this means they’re a good actor.”
Although Hardy or Collins involvement is far from confirmed, Hardys latest big screen outing with a huge franchise continues with Venom-which is to be released this year.
In the first teaser for the movie, we see Eddie Brock, a freelance photographer who accidentally comes across an alien life form with whom he binds with and becomes Venom.
