List Of Every Gift Duchess Kate Has Received From The Royal Family

Ever since becoming a royal, Kate Middleton has been showered with all kinds of gifts from the royal family, from a house to one of the most famous pieces of jewellery.

It has been nine years since Kate Middleton officially became part of the royal family when she married Prince William back in 2011. Since then, the Duchess of Cambridge has received all kinds of lavish gifts.

When it comes to gifts, the royal family don’t go for plain socks or ugly sweaters, opting more for huge real estates and priceless jewellery. Prince William, Kate’s loving husband, has given her tons of special pieces of jewellery, including a thoughtful rose gold ring with hidden detail and his mother Princess Diana’s engagement ring. The Queen has also given Kate a number of great gifts over the years, ranging from jewellery to property. What a great grandmother-in-law.

So what exactly has Kate been gifted?

Princess Diana’s Engagement Ring

Probably her first-ever regal bling, Kate’s engagement ring is one of the most valuable jewellery pieces she owns, with most of the value coming from its historical significance. The ring had once belonged to the late Princess Diana, and is made up of a band featuring a 12-carat sapphire surrounded by 14 diamonds and set in 18-carat white gold, and has spawned countless imitations.

Her engagement ring might have been the first royal piece of jewellery, but it was far from the first from her sweetheart William. Another sweet show of his courtship is a simple rose gold ring. The band of it is detailed with pearls and garnets-Kate and William’s birthstones.

She most famously wore it at their graduation ceremony, which was attended by both Prince Charles and the Middleton family.

The Cartier Ballon Bleu Watch

The tradition used to go that the symbol used for your third wedding anniversary should be leather, but with the times it changed to glass or crystal.

But it seems that tradition doesn’t count for royals, as for their third wedding anniversary in 2014, Prince William gave Kate the Ballon Bleu de Cartier watch.

The watch is set with tiny sapphires, matching her engagement ring, with yet another hint of Princess Diana, as she was a huge fan of Cartier watches.

The stunning silver watch is described by Cartier as “Floating like a balloon and as blue as the sapphire safely nestled in its side, the Ballon Bleu watch by Cartier adds a dash of elegance to male and female wrists alike”.

Anmer Hall From The Queen

If this was a ranking of the gifts, this would surely be at the top. The mansion was given to Kate and William from the Queen as a wedding gift, saving them the trouble of searching and saving for a property they would call their own.

The property is located on the Queen’s Sandringham estate, and includes ten bedrooms, a swimming pool and private tennis court and was recently refurbished to the tune of several millions of pounds. And guess who paid for it. Taxpayers money well spent.

It seems that everyone is somehow trying to get on Kate’s good side, as Prince Charles gifted his daughter-in-law a set of art deco diamond jewelry as a wedding gift in 2011. The set has a white and yellow diamond bracelet, earring and ring, all of which Kate has been seen wearing on multiple occasions.
