Outlander Actress, Caitriona Balfe Is ENGAGED! Check Out Her Ring!
The Irish actress showed us the first glimpse of her engagement ring at the awards ceremony on Sunday night.
She seemed quite happy to show the ring, which has a round diamond set between two sapphires.
She told People magazine:
“It happened over the break. I’m very happy.”
Caitriona has been dating Tony McGill for nearly two years now, and they have managed to keep their relationship private and out of the public eye.
They were last photographed together at the Oscar Wilde Awards in February last year.
The first hints of them being a couple came when in 2015 a pal of Caitriona shared an Instagram video with the actress sitting on McGill’s lap and playing the tin whistle.
She was nominated for best performance by an actress in a TV series for her role in Outlander.
Surprisingly she lost to Elizabeth Moss for her role in The Handmaids Tale.
Balfe wore a black ankle-length Chanel gown for the ceremony, which featured tulle flowers and a lace trim neckline.
Rumors of the couple had tied the knot were already circulating before we got any kind of confirmation, as when a journalist shared a photo congratulating the “newly engaged actress”.
Neither the actress or McGill confirmed the news at the time, and the post was later removed from social media.
