Outlander : We Will Get A Big Reunion In Season 4

It seems that the highly anticipated season 4 of Outlander will have a big reunion. This season is a TV adaptation of the fourth book in Diana Gabaldon’s best-selling novels, Drums Of Autumn, and fans can’t wait.

Those who have read the book know that in the fourth book Brianna (Sophie Skelton) and Jamie (Sam Heughan), who are father and daughter, finally meet. They will manage to do that when Brianna travels back in time and she also meets her mother Claire (Caitriona Balfe) even though they thought they would never get the chance to see each other again.

The story is told from Brianna’s perspective in the books and we are curious if they will take the same approach to the show also. Much of the story of Outlander Season 4 is about her and Roger (Richard Rankin), but don’t worry we will also see our favorite couple as well throughout the show.

This will be quite the interesting season and there are lots of other things to anticipate, like Jamie meeting Aunt Jacosta (Maria Doyle Kennedy) again. The main baddy in this season will be Stephen Bonnet (Ed Speelers), who will create much tension among the Frasers.

Showrunner Ronald D. Moore told Entertainment Weekly in August last year that they have filmed some episodes from season 4 while still working on season 3. Moore also said that he wants to finish all 13 episodes of the season before the season’s premiere date. The cast is actually back on the set this week to film more scenes for the upcoming installment.

“The hope is that we would be on the air regularly in the fall,” the showrunner said. “That’s part of the reason why we’re overlapping the production,” he stated.

STARZ hasn’t given the actual premiere schedule for “Outlander” season 4 as of press time.
