Outlander: We Are Getting A Season 4 This Fall, But What About A Season 5?
Production of Season 4 of Outlander is currently in the works, and it seems that the show might return to Starz earlier than we thought. The cast and crew – including our main couple, Sam Heughan and Caitriona Balfe- have been seen in and around Glasgow working on Outlander, and there is a speculation that has surfaced that the premiere is scheduled to premiere sometime this fall.
Balfe has been seen filming just outside of Glasgow last week. Some lucky fans managed to catch a glimpse of her, along with several extras, during a lunch break. We are still to get an official premiere date for the new season from Starz, but considering that everything is on track for a fall release.

The network also hasn’t officially renewed the show for Season 5 or 6, but Starz President Chris Albrecht assured us that Outlander is here to stay.
“Outlander is like nothing seen before on television. From its depiction of a truly powerful female lead character to the devastating decimation of the Highlander way of life,” Albrecht shared.
Balfe was as pleasant as ever with the fans, even stopping for a few autographs. But she isn’t the only cast member that has been seen in these recent weeks.

Several videos of the cast have made their way on Twitter, including clips in which we see some Native American warriors departing from the set. We also got to see Richard Rankin getting into a car in Glasgow and a few shots of Heughan in full costume.
The newest installment in the Outlander series is based on Diana Gabaldon’s book, Drums of Autumn. The show will pick up right where season 3 left off, which ended with Jamie and Claire being washed onshore on the east coast of America.
In this season we will get to see our leading couple adjust to their new life in the colonies and creating a new life in this new and interesting location. Although most of the action takes place in North America, most of the scenes were shot in locations all over Scotland and Eastern Europe.
Apart from well-established characters like Jamie and Claire, Season 4 will also introduce a lot of new different characters, including Andrew MacNeil, who will be portrayed by Craig McGinlay. MacNeil is a plantation owner who helps guide Jamie and Claire into this new world and introduces them to life in the colonies.

Of course, we will get lots more of Jamie and Claire’s daughter, Brianna (Sophie Skelton) and her companion, Roger Mackenzie (Rankin). We don’t know when she will exactly come up in the next season, but we are nervously awaiting that moment.
Starz has not announced an official premiere date for the new season of Outlander. Fans can, however, expect it to arrive sometime in the fall.
