Prince Charles Revealed How He Celebrated Meghan’s Pregnancy
Prince Charles spoke about son Harry is set to become a father during a visit to Lochnagar Distillery in Crathie, Aberdeenshire.
He revealed how he and his family celebrated Duchess Meghan’s pregnancy news.
During his engagement, he was asked whether he had toasted becoming a grandfather again. And Prince Charles revealed: “Oh yes, absolutely. Several times, thank you.”
It was reported that Harry and Meghan shared the news with their family on Friday at Princess Eugenie’s wedding. The news was revealed to the public on Monday, just hours just hours before the couple started their first overseas tour together.
Kensington Palace confirmed the news via a statement saying: “Their Royal Highnesses The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are very pleased to announce that The Duchess of Sussex is expecting a baby in the Spring of 2019.”
“Their Royal Highnesses have appreciated all of the support they have received from people around the world since their wedding in May and are delighted to be able to share this happy news with the public. ”
Meghan’s mom, Doria Ragland, also shared a sweet statement through Kensington Palace about the announcement, saying she is “very happy at this lovely news and is looking forward to welcoming her first grandchild.”
Harry and Meghan shared the news with the world on Monday as they embarked on a two-week tour of Australia, New Zealand, Fiji, and Tonga. They have completed the first day of the tour on Tuesday. And Duchess Meghan showed her little baby bump in a chic white dress.
Considering Meghan is 37 years old, it technically classifies her as having a ‘geriatric pregnancy’.
Pregnancies in women over the age of 35 are sometimes even categorized as “geriatric,” though that term isn’t really used by doctors anymore.
Still, she is not the only one getting pregnant later in her 30s.
