Prince Harry Speaks About Princess Kate’s ‘Pain’ In New Teaser For Documentary
On Monday, Prince Harry and Meghan released a new trailer for their upcoming documentary, along with a schedule for when the episodes will stream.
Speaking in the new one-minute teaser, Prince Harry touched upon the “pain” that Kate Middleton would have felt when she married Prince William. Harry has blasted the ‘pain and suffering of women marrying into the institution’.
He says: “It’s really hard to look back on it now and go, ‘What on earth happened?’ There’s a hierarchy of the family, you know, there’s leaking, but there’s also planting of stories. It’s a dirty game.”
Harry added: “The pain and suffering of women marrying into this institution, this feeding frenzy. I was terrified, I didn’t want history to repeat itself. No one knows the full truth. We know the full truth.”
Videos of his late mother Princess Diana and sister-in-law Kate being pursued by paparazzi were playing as Harry talked.
Volume I of the series will be released on December 8 on Netflix, while Volume II will air on December 15. According to the official synopsis, Meghan Markle and Prince Harry will share their perspective on their well-known love story.
“The series explores the clandestine days of their early courtship and the challenges that led to them feeling forced to step back from their full-time roles in the institution.”
The clip opens with news of Harry and Meghan’s engagement and wedding, with Harry saying: “It’s really hard to look back on it now and go, ‘What on earth happened?'”
As well as hearing from Prince Harry and Meghan themselves, the documentary includes interviews with family and friends who’ve never spoken publicly about the couple’s relationship before, as well as historians and journalists.
The synopsis reads: “With commentary from friends and family, most of whom have never spoken publicly before about what they witnessed, and historians who discuss the state of the British Commonwealth today and the royal family’s relationship with the press, the series does more than illuminate one couple’s love story, it paints a picture of our world and how we treat each other.”
At the end of the trailer, Prince Harry no one knows the “full truth” except for them … and we’re about to learn what it is in a couple of days.
